Los Angeles – Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to jail and rehab on Tuesday. As reported by the Associated Press (AP) the actress was issued the sentence after Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel found her to be in violation of the terms of her probation, which stemmed from a 2007 drug case.
Lohan, who cried after the ruling, is quoted by the AP as stating to the judge, “I did do everything I was told to do and did the best I could to balance jobs and showing up…It wasn't vacation, it wasn't some sort of a joke.”
Judge Revel is quoted as stating in response to Lohan’s apology that it is comparable to “somebody who cheats and thinks it isn't cheating if she doesn't get caught.”
The actress’ sentence was 90 days in jail and a rehab program.
